Food Studies 12

This course focuses on the kitchen skills and confidence needed for everyday cooking. You will also learn about maintaining equipment, storing and understanding specific ingredients, using leftovers and vegetable scraps effectively, and planning basic meals as you become more responsible around the house or get ready to move out on your own. You will look into global food issues, personal nutrition, and our relationship with food in this modern food system. Bake muffins and bread, make breakfasts, lunches and dinners and maybe make someone’s day by sharing some delicious food.
