Art Studio 10 continues to explore how students perceive and respond to their world including identifying a variety of image sources and analyzing and developing image-development strategies used by self and others. Students will develop and create personally meaningful art using drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and mixed media. Students will be expected to demonstrate their understanding of the visual elements and principles of design while considering the role of the artist and audience in a variety of contexts and the influence of visual culture on self and identity. Another component of the course is the study of contemporary and traditional Indigenous world views and art forms.
