Anatomy and Physiology 12 focuses on the structure and function of the human body. Credit in Life Science 11 is strongly recommended prior to enrolling in Anatomy and Physiology 12. It is also recommended that Chemistry 11 be taken prior to or at the same time as Anatomy and Physiology 12. This course continues the curriculum from Life Sciences 11 by expanding upon the function and structure of cells in the different parts of the body. Additional topics include the chemistry of life molecules, the relationship between DNA and proteins, the structure and function of the cell membrane, the role of enzymes, the organization of the human body, and the functions of the major organ systems.
