Chemistry 11

Chemistry 11 focuses on the properties of matter and chemical reactions. This continues the chemistry curriculum from Science 9 and Science 10 by expanding upon the structure of atoms, organisation of the periodic table, ionic compounds, and the nature of chemical reactions.  Additional topics include chemical bonding, calculating quantities using the mole, and the characteristics of chemical solutions. A unit on organic chemistry is optional.  A strong background in mathematics is recommended for continuing in chemistry.
