Creative Writing 12 is a grade 12 level academic course that encourages students to develop their writing as they explore and write a variety of fiction and creative nonfiction in a supportive environment.  Stories connect us to each other and for generations have been methods of passing on traditions, knowledge and life lessons. In the 21st Century, modern means of communication have changed the way we share our stories. Students will have the opportunity to learn and show their work in a variety of formats that meet individual ways of learning.  By exploring the traits of writing, students will build their appreciation for the power of words to construct meaningful connections between self, text and the world; and, when they choose to share their stories they influence others. Creative Writing 12 appeals to students wanting to hone their writing craft.
