Environmental science explores human impact on the natural world. It does this through a blended lens of scientific knowledge and know-how acquired from the fields of biology, ecology, and geology as well as chemistry and physics.

Environmental Science 11 explores the ecological ideas of biodiversity, ecosystem complexity, energy flow and succession through a lens of air, water and soil quality. As stewards, we need to first understand natural cycles and human impact on these cycles to be able to move toward sustainability and rehabilitation/restoration of our natural resources.
