This  course is  an  introductory  exploration  of  the  richness  and  diversity  of  the film  medium  in  its  many  iterations.  Students will  deepen  their  appreciation of  film  by  learning the  vocabulary  of  film  making  and  visual  storytelling,  the  process  of  story, script,  and dialogue  development,  and  the  ability  to think  critically,  to  analyze,  compare and critique  various  types  of  film and  video.  The course  will  also help students  to improve their  own  writing  and  presentation skills  as  well  as  learn  how  to interpret  and present  the  ways  that  film  shapes  ideas  and  influences  others. Open to all levels of ability and experience.
