This course allows students who could not fit a foods class into their grade 9 year to do so prior to moving on to senior level foods courses, or enjoyed Food Studies 9 so much that they would like to delve deeper into its topics and recipes. If you also took Food Studies 9 you will be expected to show greater responsibility and leadership in the kitchen.
You will prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners that are healthy, fast and delicious. Explore the connections between food and the global community including social and environmental impacts. Also, gather and dry indigenous plants to enjoy tea flavours of the Salish Coast.
