Science 10 continues to build competencies in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science in preparation for subject specific senior level courses.  Topics include an introduction to genetics and inheritance, the different types of chemical reactions, energy changes during chemical reactions, the chemistry of acids and bases, calculating kinetic and potential energy, the nature of radiation and nuclear reactions, and the big bang theory and the structure of the universe.
